Beauty Salon

We have 2 treatment rooms and 2 nail bars within our beauty salon and offer a wide range of treatments including all the new must haves like eyelash extensions and Minx nails. We currently have a team of 3 fully trained Beauty Therapists and pride ourselves on being a small friendly business. We aim to bring beauty treatments to our clients at prices they can afford and a service that’s means they will continue to return for years to come. Beauty Basement were finalists for the Southend Business Awards 2010.

Amanda Sutton, 24, the owner of Beauty Basement has been in the beauty industry for 8 years and started by selling high end cosmetics online and now has a very successful website that supplies customers worldwide. She later brought out her own range of stylish makeup brushes, Blink in Pink, which have featured in magazines, including Vogue and No1. Beauty Basement was opened in 2009 and quickly outgrew its first premises so moved to the current 791 Southchurch Road. The lastest adition to her portpholio is the launch of Southend Nail and Beauty School offering fast track accredited courses in Beauty Therapy. Amanda has featured in Good Housekeeping magazine and also appeared in lots of industry news features, she is a finalist for this years Southend Business Awards for Young Entrepreneur 2011.

We use premier products for all our treatments:

For our nail services we use Mavala Winners of the Natural Health Beauty Awards 2009 and 2010 and Shellac Non smudge, Non chip and Super shiny 2 week manicure. We use NSI for our gel and acrylic nail extensions.

For our facials and body treatments we use Arbonne Winners of the UK Beauty Awards 2010 Best New Skin Care Product and Best New Body Care Product.

For our Spray Tans we use Nouvatan which is long lasting, has no orange tinge, containing natural organic ingredients with no harmful parabens or alcohol that other spray tan products do.

Makeup Studio

You will find high end makeup and cosmetics at up to 80% off their retail value, but we’re not just like any other discount store. We offer an exclusive service within a friendly and relaxing atmosphere, where we are available to help with any questions. We will be more than happy to apply any makeup on you so you can be confident you are buying the correct product. This doesn’t mean that you will be met by pushy sales people; there is no need with the prices we offer, just professionals that can help if you need a bit of guidance.  We also offer makeup parties where you can come along with your friends and have a free mini Facial or Makeup application to help you choose the correct products (min spend £50 per group).
